The Lawrence County Sheriffs Office is a full-service law enforcement agency and the pre-trial custodial keeper of those who are arrested for crimes. It is the mission of the Lawrence County Sheriffs Office to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Lawrence County Tennessee, to preserve the peace, to maintain a safe and secure jail and to prevent crime and disorder while constantly guarding personal liberties as prescribed by law. This must be done with honor and integrity, while conducting ourselves by the highest fiscal and ethical standards to maintain public confidence.

Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has four patrol shifts dedicated to protecting and serving the citizens of Lawrence County. Each shift has one sergeant and one corporal.

Lawrence County Correctional Facility

The 232 bed state-of-the art correctional facility in Lawrence County opened in November of 2009 through a working partnership of the County Commission and the Sheriff's Department. The jail is supervised by the Jail Lieutenant and four rotating shifts, each with one sergeant.

Investigations and Drug Task force

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department is committed to solving every crime and eradicating drug use in Lawrence County. In order to keep that commitment, the Criminal Investigation Unit needs the citizens of Lawrence County to come forward with any leads, tips or information you may have regarding a crime or suspected drug use.
