I am Sandy Newton. I was born and raised in Lawrence County. I am a member of First Baptist Church, Lawrenceburg. I am married to Larry Newton and together we have two children, Brandi (Brandon) Roberts and Brady (Bridgette) Newton, and two grandchildren Breece and Brayton Roberts who attend Lawrenceburg Public School.
I graduated from Summertown High School. After graduation, I attended and graduated from Career Beauty College, obtained my cosmetologist license, and began working at a hair salon in Columbia, Tennessee. I worked there for two years and then was asked to come work at Sovran Bank in Lawrence County. While there I was promoted from Customer Service Rep to Assistant Head teller. After six short years, Mr. Jerald Wilson asked me to come work for him in the Circuit Court Clerk’s Office. From that point, I have had a greater love for Lawrence County. That continues true today after working for Lawrence County for the past 28 years. I hope that I can play a small part in continuing to make Lawrence County a great place to live.
Outside of work I enjoy spending weekends with my Grandchildren either at the ballpark or in the gym.
